Good to know

• Comb a dry beard, not a wet one. Wet hair stretches and breaks; a beard is no different from the hair on your head in that respect.
• Rinse the comb after a wax day and let it air-dry. Wood does not like sitting wet.
• The supplier does not state whether the brush bristles are boar or synthetic. We have asked. If you avoid animal-derived materials, wait for that answer before ordering.

Beschreibung

A wooden comb with two tooth widths and a palm-sized oval brush. Between them they do the whole job: the wide teeth for detangling, the fine teeth for shaping, and the brush for working oil or wax down to the skin and training the hair to lie one way. Wood rather than plastic, and not for the look of it — a moulded plastic comb has a seam down each tooth that catches and snaps hair, and it builds up static in a dry beard. A cut wooden comb has neither problem. Both are small enough for a wash bag, which is where a beard comb is most often needed and least often present.
